Edit Icons Legend

 

Content Elements 

Each icon on TucanWebWorld pages in Admin view stands for a particular content element. Click on the icons to edit the content beside them. Rollover the icons to access the additional functions menu.

File Area - Allows uploading different types of files for visitors to download. 
Image Gallery - Allows uploading a set of photos in a structured image gallery.
Gallery Image - Stands for an individual image in an Image Gallery.
Sub-Gallery - Use this option in Gallery Image Add menu to add a Sub-Gallery.
Navigation Menu - Allows managing the navigation on your site.
Navigation Menu or Submenu Item - Click to edit the name and link for a particular Menu or Submenu Item.
Hits Counter - Allows adding a site or page hits counter. To use the Hits Counter, you should first enable it from Advanced Elements option in Control Panel.
Allows structured posting of news. Available in some design templates only.
HTML Snippet - Allows adding a piece of HTML code inside the content area of your site.  To use the HTML Snippet, you should first enable it from Advanced Elements option in Control Panel.
Forum / Blog - Allows adding a forum or blog interface. Before adding a Blog or Forum you should first enable this feature from Advanced Elements option in Control Panel.
Mailing List Form - Allows adding a mailing list subscription form. To be able to add a mailing list form to your site, first enable this feature from Advanced Elements option in Control Panel.
Form - Allows adding a form to your site using a simple Form editor. To be able to add a form, you should first enable this feature from Advanced Elements option in Control Panel.
Section - Allows adding a columned area on your page. Available in business templates only.
Horizontal Layout - An area designed for holding sections and managing the spacing between the sections. Available in business templates > home page template only.

Area - Marks an area of editable content. Roll over it to add Text, File Areas, Image Galleries, etc.

Text and Image - Click this icon to edit text and images, add links, tables, movies.  

File - Stands for individual file in a File Area.

News Group -

News Item - Stands for a single news posting

Functions 

Roll over each content element icon to bring up a menu of available functions.

 

  Add - Allows adding new content elements - both on the same content level (Adding an Image Gallery from a Text and Image icon) or as child objects (Adding a File within a File Area).
Edit - Click to edit the properties of the content element. Roll-over for more options.
Move - Roll-over for specific move options.
Move Down - Moves the item one position down.
Move Up - Moves the item one position up.
Move Bottom - Moves the item to the bottom of a list of elements from the same content level.
Move Top - Moves the item to the top of a list of elements from the same content level.
Cut - Removes a content element from one place and makes it available for pasting.
Copy - Makes a copy of a content element available for pasting.
Paste - Pastes the cut or copied element.
Delete - Use it to delete an element from Admin view. 
Duplicate - Creates a copy of the content element at the same location.
Select - Use the select function to mark several content elements and then perform cut, copy, paste, delete or hold over all.
Hold - Removes the element placed on hold from Normal View.
Unhold - Unhold an element placed on Hold to make it available in Normal View again.
Properties - Click to edit all properties of a content element.
Publish Page - Publishes content changes on the page to Normal View.

 

 

Control Panel Options 

The control panel available at the top right area of the screen in Admin View features all Page and Site specific functions.

Page Control Panel - Roll over for a menu of page and site options.

Unpublished Page - Shows that content changes done on this page have not been published. Click on  label to publish.

Manage Pages -  Opens a panel with list of all pages on your site and options to add, edit, delete, publish or set them as home page. Site Properties - Use this option to change site design, site title, set custom domain, add keywords.

Site Statistics - Allows monitoring of visitors hits to site and pages.

Mailing Lists - Allows you to view the members of your mailing lists, send emails to your mailing lists, view the log of sent emails.

Advanced Elements - Allows you to select the advanced content elements you wish to use during current session of working on the site.

Personal Info - Update your personal information and password, change Admin view password. Show / Hide Icons - Toggle icons for an easy preview of how the page will look in Normal View. Logout -  Log out and go to Normal View of site.
